Want to know where this beer came from? It was the winter of 1943 when Christian Engel was stationed in Edinburgh, Scotland for a short stay, before heading to Italy during the Second World War. During that stay, Christian met and fell in love with Catherine Archibald, a beautiful and feisty barmaid, working at the Sheep Heid Inn, the oldest surviving public house in Scotland, established in 1360. After the war, the two moved to Canada where they started their family...Hub Town co-founder, Mark’s family! This Scotch Ale was brewed for his grandma and grandpa!
